Church Volunteers

Echad Temple Oneness Ministries is solely concerned with the propagation of the Gospel of the grace of God as revealed in the Word of God. We enjoy fellowship with Christians of like faith, crossing many denominational lines. In all of our programs, the Gospel is to be proclaimed, the Scriptures are to be taught, converts are to be discipled, and indigenous churches are to be organized.

The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ is a rabbi sent from God and rabbi means a teacher. He was referred to as a friend of sinners. He often drew the ire of the scribes and Pharisees for eating with sinners (Luke 15:2). Jesus clearly recognized that one of the insults hurled against him was that he was “a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!” (Luke 7:34). As Christians, we love to sing of this Pharisaical put-down because it means that Jesus is a friend to sinners like us. We also find ourselves challenged by Jesus’ example to make sure we do not turn away outsiders in a way that Jesus never would.

You might not consider yourself an evangelist. While you may not have the special gift of evangelism, all Christians are called to reach out to others with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The biblical example of this approach is Tabitha (also known as Dorcas) in Acts 9:36-42. She is described as “full of good works and acts of charity,” who used her gift of making clothing for God’s glory. In this biblical episode, Tabitha died, causing much grief among the widows who knew her. Her ministry touched many widows as we can see in verse 39, “All the widows stood beside him weeping and showing tunics and other garments that Dorcas made while she was with them.” They called the apostle Peter to help, and help he did—Peter raised Tabitha to life.

One of our goals is to partnership with other concern individuals in evangelizing beyond the simple fray of preaching but to develop programs to get people involve in proclaiming the Gospel which does not necessarily have nothing to do with reaching people within the wall of the church but beyond the wall using all venues and networks and through our devotion and kindness to all men, which will become contagious discipline as a true disciple of Jesus Christ the savior.
