People need to have their spiritual, emotional and physical needs met. We are living in a crazy world today. II Timothy 3:1 helps me put this in perspective, “but know this, that in the last days perilous times will come.” I’ll take the liberty to say that perilous times are here.
The role of the modern church in the life of the 21st-century believer is critical because it fills a void only the church can. Although people’s view of the church is divergent on many popular issues, devoted members of any church is supposed to be glued together as one family. As the family of God, we are called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2) everyone is expected to pray and encourage other people in their strengths and weakness; it is also interesting to note that Christians are humans and are confronted with similar trials as non-Christians and need a solution for those trials. People expect the church to provide Bible-based answers that no other institution can provide; the church as a community of disciples through the power of salvation is granted the gifts to quench the darts of fiery trials
Biblical counseling uses the truths of Scripture, explaining and applying them to the individual’s life—exhorting, rebuking, correcting, and training—so that practical help is gained through the understanding and application of God’s Word (2 Timothy 3:16). The Word of God has a power not gained from textbooks or taking courses in psychology, the power to “penetrate even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12). The Word is the pastor’s primary tool in counseling, and, because of his years of study, he is in a unique position to wield the sword of truth.
One of the goals of Echad Ministries is to be a hub that points people to Yeshua the Messiah and secondly, to restore all those who’ve lost faith in life and need a word to lighten their pathway. As a praying believing church we’ve seen the power of God into believer’s lives, where people have been delivered and set free from their heaven burdens. Even though we cannot meet the needs of everyone financially through faith we are determined to provide the best help possible or point one in the correct directions to put back their lives together where they can glorify the Father.
