The purpose of praise and worship in the sanctuary is to lift God up in praise, to express our love, gratitude and thankfulness to him for all He has done for us. When we focus on the Lord, we remove our eyes from our own problems, and we end up being encouraged in the process. In ministry, there will always be people that have inspired ideas and the key is learning how to organize them so they feel comfortable working towards the common goal of glorifying Christ, rather than having a hodge-podge of stuff being either thrown around at random or everybody doing their own thing. Our goal is to organize a body of singers who perform together as a group which will be in the form of a choir. Singing is the act of producing musical sounds with the voice, and augments regular speech by the use of both tonality and rhythm. One who sings is called a singer or vocalist. Singers perform music (arias, recitatives, songs, etc.) that can be sung either with or without accompaniment by musical instruments.
